#70 What causes four seasons?

The Earth Has Four Seasons, but What Causes Them?
Please write down what you think below without referring to any information,

  1. I think the four seasons are caused by the rotation of the Earth around its axis and the sun.

  2. The angle of the sun causes the four seasons.

  3. I think the four seasons are caused by how the Earth rotates and tilts around the sun.

  4. The earth's location in relation to the sun is what causes each season. When the united states is closest to the sun, it is summmertime, meanwhile, on the other side of the earth it is winter time.

  5. The tilt of the earth on its axis and the earth's rotation around the sun cause the four seasons.

  6. Tthe changes in the Earth's orbit cause seasonal changes. This is why different areas of the world have seasons at different times.

  7. I think the four seasons are caused by the rotating of the earth around the sun. As the earth rotates and a certain area is closer to the sun, that area experiences summer whereas an area on the other side of the earth is experiencing winter because it is farther away from the sun.

I believe the tilt in the Earth's axis, the way we rotate around the sun, and the path the earth follows around the sun all create the seasons.

  9. I think having four seasons has something do with with the Earth's rotation around the sun. The further away we get from the sun the colder it is (Winter). The closer the Earth is, the warmer it is (Summer).

  10. The earths rotation on its axis and the angle it has from the sun causes the four seasons.

  11. The four seasons occur as the planet slowly rotates creating a difference in temperatures at different times of the year.

  12. Rotation of the Earth and where the sun is located at a given time.

  13. The four seasons are caused by the rotation of the Earth around the sun. During winter and fall, the Earth is further away from the sun, which makes the weather cold. During spring and summer, the Earth is closer to the sun, which is the reason for warmer temperatures and weather.

  14. The earth has four seasons Spring, summer, fall and winter. Each season has a lot to do with the rotation of the Earth, sun and the climate.

  15. The tilt and rotation of the earth is how we have 4 seasons.

  16. I think that the Earth's location to the sun is what causes the season.

  17. The position of the Earth to the Sun. The Earth's axis is on a certain degree tilt. Its position on its axis and its location in its orbit causes the variations in climate that we call seasons.

  18. As the earth rotates and orbits around the sun it changes it's didtance from it thereby affecting light cycles and temperaures. The position on earth also makes a differnece for example the equator is closer to the sun at all times than the north and south poles. These are the obvious ones but the water cycles of the ocean also affect climate chnge and seasons. The warm water moves towards the poles and displaces the cold water creating variation of seasons as well. There are many other features such as humidity elevation and location to the oceans can influence the fianl weather results.

  19. I think the reason for season change is due to the rotation of the earth on its axis.
