Human activities are contributing to global warming by adding excessive amounts of greenhouse gases to the atmosphere. Greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide accummulate in the atmosphere and trap heat that normally would exit into outer space.
Gaseous build up in the atmosphere causes more of the sun's rays to be reflected back to Earth. The atmosphere doesn't allow the gases to go back into space. Also, with the cutting down of trees, less carbon dioxide is exchanged for oxygen.
Tia Nave and Brandi Poore Scientists have determined that a number of human activities are contributing to global warming by adding excessive amounts of greenhouse gases to the atmosphere. Greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide accummulate in the atmosphere and trap heat that normally would exit into outer space. Also some other factors that contribute to global warming are coal burning power plants and automobils.
Factors that cause global warming include greenhouse gases that humans emit from the combustion of fossil fuels in cars, factories, and electricity production; the gas responsible for the most warming is carbon dioxide. Other factors include methane released from landfills and agriculture (especially from the digestive system of grazing animals), nitrous oxide from fertilizers, gases used for refrigeration and industrial processes, and the loss of forests that would otherwise store carbon dioxide.
There are natural causes that increase the greenhouse effect such as volcanic activity. Human activities also add to the greenhouse effect by adding excessive amounts of greenhouse gases to the atmosphere. By adding these gases to the atmosphere, excess heat is trapped.
The ozone layer protects us from the sun's harmful rays. The hole in the ozone leaves a vulnerable area that is susceptible to harmful UV rays. The more CO2 in our atmosphere, the more heat is trapped. CO2 is created by fossil fuel burning, deforestation, internal combustion engines in our cars, and small amounts from airplanes and buildings. Deforestation creates a lack of trees to filter the air.
Global warming is caused by increasing greenhouse gases especially carbon dioxide. As the planet warms water vapour increases also which is also a greenhouse gas.
Global warming is caused by greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide getting caught in the air due to human activities. Burning fossil fuels in cars and power plants contribute to global warming. Also, cutting down forests cause less oxygen to be formed from carbon dioxide, leaving the carbon dioxide in the air.
About.com says that global warming is caused by excessive amounts of of greenhouse gases to the atmosphere. Greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide. Human use of fossil fuels is the main source of excess greenhouse gases. By driving cars and using electricity causes it. Also, deforestation is another significant source of greenhouse gases.
Sheena Harrison, Natasha Hillman Global warming is caused by excessive amounts of green house gases being released into the atmosphere. By driving cars, using electricity from coal-fired power plants, or heating our homes with oil or natural gas, we release carbon dioxide and other heat-trapping gases into the atmosphere. Deforistation is another contributor to global warming.
Some natural causes of global warming include: the release of methane gas from artic tundra and wetlands and the cycle of climate change. Some man-made causes of global warming include: pollution by burning of fossil fuels, increased population equals increased use of fossil fuels and more deforestation in order to make room for more houses, when we cut down trees we are removing something that turns co2 into oxygen therefore there is more carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.
