I found a website that contains a lot of information from the University of California's Museum of Paleontology. The URL is http://www.ucmp.berkeley.edu/exhibits/biomes/index.php. The Discovery Channel's Education site has a lesson plan library with a specific lesson plan on Unique Plants of the Biomes. The link for that is http://school.discoveryeducation.com/lessonplans/programs/plantsofthebiomes/. Another good website I found that includes many good lesson plans is http://www.thewildclassroom.com/biomes/lessonplans/index.html.
This website is a good example of developing a lesson plan on habitats and biomes.I believe it is great to know how specific you want, and are able to go with the students in the classroom. 1. http://school.discoveryeducation.com/lessonplans/activities/makeitahabitat/biomes.html 2. http://www.enchantedlearning.com/biomes/

I really liked this lesson I found on biomes. It includes key vocabulary words, higher order thinking questions, printable worksheets, and a fun activity to help students understand the concept of a biome better. http://www.instructorweb.com/lesson/biomeidentify.asp
I found some really good websites on the rainforest and rainforest animals. This was a really good website that did a quick overview of the different layers of the rainforest and plant and animal life. http://www.blueplanetbiomes.org/rainforest.htm.
This website, http://www.enchantedlearning.com/subjects/rainforest/animals/Rfbiomeanimals.shtml, had a link where you could print out different coloring pages for rainforest animals.
